Harrison Chase is the co-founder and CEO of LangChain, developer of the eponymous tool for chaining together interoperable components for GenAI applications. LangChain has emerged as a defacto standard and is a critical part of in many GenAI developers’ toolboxes.

Chase graduated from Harvard University in 2017 with degrees in statistics and computer science. Prior to founding LangChain in late 2022, Chase was a machine learning engineer at Kensho Technologies, an MLOps company focused on testing and validation of machine learning models, and led the entity linking team at Kensho, a fintech startup.

Under Chase’s guidance, the San Francisco-based company has developed the LangChain product into an open source powerhouse, with more than 15 million monthly downloads, more than 75,000 GitHub stars, and more than 3,000 contributors for the project.
