TIBCO’s New Hyperconverged Analytics Approach Delivers Rapid, Actionable Insights for Customers

PALO ALTO, Calif., May 27, 2021 — TIBCO Software Inc., a global leader in enterprise data, empowers its customers to connect, unify, and confidently predict business outcomes, solving complex data-driven challenges. TIBCO has announced multiple new innovations and capabilities to its Predict portfolio of products, significantly accelerating time-to-insights and delivering smart, scalable analytics across the enterprise.

Enhancements to TIBCO Spotfire, TIBCO Streaming, and TIBCO Data Science are now available in a single platform. This TIBCO Hyperconverged Analytics experience significantly increases business value by compressing the time from business events to analytics, insights, and action. These new capabilities include a framework for extending the visual analytics palette with TIBCO Spotfire Mods, invoking no-code data science functionality, advanced streaming analytics, and a modern, platform-agnostic approach to ModelOps. By combining the power of analytics with TIBCO’s data management and data virtualization offerings, customers can now scale analytics and reporting on any data.

“With every release, we improve the productivity of all stakeholders, data scientists, business analysts, and line-of-business leaders, vastly increasing the impact derived from analytics for our customers. The automation of tasks and the convergence of analytics, data science, and DevOps is central to our innovative approach,” said Michael O’Connell, chief analytics officer, TIBCO. “TIBCO Hyperconverged Analytics is a game-changing strategy for analytics, enabling our customers to unlock the potential of real-time data for making faster, smarter decisions.”

Specifically, Spotfire 11 now delivers embedded data science workflows, lowering the barrier for non-developers to add Python and R data functions to Spotfire analyses. With its extensible, lightweight JavaScript framework, Spotfire Mods enable low-code development for tailored, visual analytics applications, speeding customer innovation. Spotfire 11 also includes new community-sourced visualizations and a growing library of Python and R data functions covering feature engineering, machine learning, and geoanalytics. These extensions merge directly into the Spotfire platform’s brush-linked user-experience, providing a rich, interactive, insight-discovery experience for authors and consumers.

“We rely on technology and people to solve complex problems through software-driven manufacturing and advanced analytics,” Ahmer Srivastava, director, Memory Product Solutions, Analytics and Software Applications, Western Digital. “Without big data, visual analytics, and predictive analytics, our teams would not be able to succeed in the otherwise task-intensive engineering feats they take on every day. TIBCO Spotfire is central to our success in being able to drive innovation and take our product development and manufacturing execution to a new level.”

Additional updates include an expanded at-scale compute for SQL and ML functionality with TIBCO Data Science. Combined with the upcoming availability of TIBCO ModelOps, customers have access to simplified model deployment and monitoring. This empowers organizations to manage thousands of statistical, machine learning, and rules-based models from commercial or open source environments, enabling model lifecycle governance and transparency for algorithmic decisions and AI-guided customer interactions.

The TIBCO Hyperconverged Analytics framework integrates seamlessly with TIBCO’s Unify portfolio of products. In particular, TIBCO Data Virtualization provides federated data views for TIBCO Spotfire and TIBCO Data Science with comprehensive governance and at-scale compute.

These new innovations and capabilities were announced at the TIBCO Analytics Forum in May 2021. View the sessions or learn more about the TIBCO Predict portfolio here.
